Default stock flywheel

tryed searching for it but no luck anyone know what the stock flywheel weight is?

im still debating on what flywheel to get 9.5 or 12 lb going to get the stage 2 CC disc clutch, would just like to know how much the stock flywheel weighs im not turbo and won't be for prolly another year or so so no need for anything higher than stage 2 clutch .. so anyone?

yea, i tried searchin what a stock flywheel weighs to. no luck tho either.

yeah, the stock flywheel is seriously heavy, i love seeing the look on my friend's face when i handed it to him and he almost fell forward.

18 lbs... i recomend the 12lb flywheel.. 9lb is very hard to work with... u have to rev a little higher to get it going and engage and it sucks for launching.

lol yea hopefully ill have the clutch & flywheel within a month or 2 then going to install it looked at a couple diy's on here looks like cake work but i heard its better to upgrade the gear oil in the tran's after installed the lighter flywheel like mobile 1 or something?

oh yea? im sure i can get use to it heard the 9.5 is way better then 12lb?

red line mt90 is a nice upgrade... if u DIY it will take about 11-14 hours... so get a friend to help...

also i highly recomend buying a new seal for the crank and replacing it while ur there.. and of course take out both axles... and be careful taking out the axles as to not damage the seals

im a tech at tire's plus id be doing it there and crank seal by meaning the rear main seal? and i was going to replace that that's like takeing a duece and not whipping its a must lol and were can i get that gear oil at? and im sure i can install the clutch in 4-5 hours

yes the rear main seal is a must... sorry the name didnt come to me lol... u can buy it at murrays or various places... just make sure its the mt90 from redline if u go that route.. i have and ive never had an issue after 20K miles and hard aggressive daily driving.

lol its fine i knew what you ment and we dont have any store's like that down here we got napa, autozone, advanced auto parts , bennet, pepboy's etc.... ill just go ask one of them prolyl napa thats were we get most our parts from anyways and i think the seal is like what 20$ from toyota?

i drive my tc pretty hard also daily driver don't drive it far i live like 1 min from my work lol ive got 26k on my car i just want to upgrade my clutch & flywheel & the fluid im so glad the tc's dont have the toyota tranny fluid it gets so nasty after so long its gross

yes seal is 21 bucks i have the part number somewhere if u need it... the mt90 is pricey at 9 bucks a qt lol..

how many quarts the tc tranny hold? 12? idk i never get to work on any tc's there still pretty new lol

3 of the bottles is all u need.. roughly 2.5 qts of all 3 bottles is what u will be using..

ok about to buy a new flywheel but 1 question for anyone who kno's will any flywheel fit the tc like the flywheels for the 05 tc or 06 tc? are all tc's the same reason asking because i see this guy selling his flywheel but it says 04-05 tc just wondering if it will fit my 08?

yes any flywheel for any tc will fit all us 5 speed ppl have the same tranny
