Default Stop!! Hold your engine...

I read this somewhere and tried it out dam it works great. looking to stiffen your motor with out paying the high price of a engine damper that wont hold up or break. For under $20 at your local automotive store pick yourself up a tube of 3M auto glass urethane black and a culk gun. I wish i had pictures of this install but i don't. it dose take some time. looking at your motor left top is a mount un-bolt the four bolts on top and the two on the bottom i'm not sure the sizes of the bolts but they are metric. i did thats last summer. you may aslo want to place a jack and a pice of wood under the car to keep the motor from dropping down and making the mount harder to remove. After finally removing the mount place it on a bench or floor whatever u perfer. I would sugest wearing some laytex gloves at this point it can and will be a stickey mess. There are two small holes in the mount about 1/4 inch in size on each side. cut the nipple on the urethane tube so that it barley fits inside the mount. start pumping the urethane in using a caulk gun. it will get hard. squeez it in till the urethane starts to spurg out the other hole. then place the caulk gun in that hole till it runs out the other hole. must get a even amount of urethane without any air bubbles. When done wipe off any run off, paint thinner will clean any residue. Let stand for about 30 min or so. place mount back in car and let it dry over night and be easy for a couple of days till the urethane sets up. do not rev or jerk the motor around when just finished, let it dry.
Now you have a motor that dosn't give or bounce around in the engine bay. Urethane is llike rubber so it will give a little, you wont feel any added vibraction. i have done it to 3 of my mounts. there is one in the back of the motor but that ia a pain to get too I would sugest the two side mounts and the lower front. support. Gain some torque and save some $$$. Sounds harder than it is but its not a huge job. on a scale of 1 to 10 its about a 7. mechanical now how is a plus in this matter. good luck.http://multimedia.mmm.com/mws/mediaw...666_JQc7rrrrQ-

Yes, this mod is fairly common knowledge these days. iirc, there were at least a couple threads on it here at SL in the past, including how-to's and people posting pics of their work. I'm sure you could find them if you searched.

Read a walkthrough here. Guys have been doing this for years, using tubes of windshield adhesive (which is semi-hard urethane, with a durometer hardness around Rockwell 90.

You can also get two-part pourable urethane from McMaster, in hardnesses from Rockwell 70 up to around 100. For reference, the sole of a typical skater shoe is Rockwell 75.

Used to. But not in about 10 years, ever since a delightful incident in which I dislocated my collarbone.

im not even gonna read all that.

so basically you spent $20 to fill the stock mounts...
you could just buy energy suspensions replacemnt polyurethane mounts for $40 and be done with it...

or you can get polyurethane engine mount bushings for 45 bucks, and just replace the entire mount with those
