Default Strup Header or Megan Mid-Pipe

I am a bit stuck on which I should get. I am trying to decide between a Strup Header or a Megan Mid-pipe for my 07 tC. I currently only have a TRD Axleback.

Mid-pipe will be a little quieter than a header, and will have less rasp. The header will be louder and easier to spot by an officer, but will be a good addition for car shows.

I have a Megan S-Pipe sitting here that I will most likely install if I bought the Mid-Pipe but if I get the headers I probably won't install the S-Pipe because it will make it too loud.

I'm not too worried about HP gain because I don't really race the car, I am just interested in sound and looks. I want my TRD exhaust louder. My predicament here is that if I buy the Mid-Pipe I will never ever put header on my car, and if I buy the header I won't ever do Mid-Pipe so I have to make a good choice on what to buy.

What's your opinion?

I'd say go for the midpipe since adding headers will get you a fail for emissions testing (assuming you have to go through it). Midpipe will give it a nice sound and you can make use of your S-pipe. For looks, you can just paint the heatshield on the stock header if you wanted to, or remove the heatshields and wrap all the pipes in exhaust wrap so it looks like you have headers.

Or you can go with Dezod's Green header for the best of both worlds.

I have the dezon red header with invidia s pipe and TRD axel back and it sounds goooood. Deep rumble, no rasp. Thinking about adding the megan midpipe to the family as well.

I would do the mid pipe. The header will give you a ton of rasp. I had the strup header, Megan s pipe, Megan mid pipe, and Injen axle back. It sounded horrible.

Default Strup Header or Megan Mid-Pipe

Yeah I went for the Megan Midpipe. I finally ruled out header (for now) and then I was stuck on whether I wanted a Megan or Tsudo Midpipe. The Tsudo is cheaper and would have been shipped from my state so I would have had it faster, but the Megan seems less raspy and just overall a better quality Midpipe. I was racking my brain to decide which one I wanted but finally decided to just go for the Megan.

So after my decision I start browsing YouTube some more and run across this
and after hearing that video, I definitely think I made the right choice lol. In that video they have the same setup I will have (Megan S-Pipe, Megan Midpipe, TRD Exhaust).
