I was told by a scion manager last week that JUST got back from touring the scion plants in japan, that they have them built and waiting CARB approval. Seems that the american car companies i.e. Ford, Chevy etc. is giving toyota a bunch of red tape on holding back any further successes. Seems they are lobbying to start tariffing japanese goods because the big 3 are losing bigtime.... Was told September at the latest for the release.

I would believe a person that just got back from Japan Scion!

 

Maybe america should just make good cars and this wouldnt be a problem?

The contacts at the dealer I bought from just told me the same thing. They also just made the trip to Japan. Whats sad is they were told the same for the CAI... mid fall.. And they also still say it will be offered as both a factory option as well as after the fact

america doesnt make good cars? c'mon i know our car is made in japan, but that doesnt mean american doesnt make a good car, just not all of them are so great.

 

the trd SC is not going to be out for awhile. i would recomend using the search. there are rumors that it will be available in the fall. which i think its highly unlikley

 

What does your comment at all have anything to do with Toyota coming out with a SC for the tC?
