safe boost means running richer. but honestly i've seen naturally aspirated dyno's showing close to 12:1 so it really depends on how much they change the fuel map. it could stay at the same curve but i would tend to think people using the supercharger will have a lead foot and therefore less mpg

I don't think anyone with Forced Induction can keep the
gas mileage up. It's difficult.

My SAAB Turbo though, got 30MPG on average, and that
was an '87. So it's possible.

IMO the TRD supercharger is probably going to keep the same mpg rating on the tC. What Matt said is true, most people are going to have a heavy foot and are going to have low numbers.

We don't know yet what the TRD S/C is going to produce, but it's something people consider because it maintains the factory warantee and it's CARB legal.

speculation states its only gonna get at the most 20hp gainit thant wont even be at the wheels. i know lets even talk about it until it hits the shelves. it may never show up at this rate. everything is just speculation until the thing hits the shelf.

you know we are already on our third model year for the tc and nothing has shown up.

to even talk about trd mpg and basing mpg decision on other car model superchargers with a completely different setup and engine types is just a waste of time IMO.

The lowest estimates given were 40hp gains, and it definitely possible that it will actually be more. Don't know where you got 20hp gains from. It doesn't really matter though, cause like everyone said, september's here. I guess the latest round of rumors are false. Back on topic though... even if the MPG stays close to the same, you will almost definitely need to use premium gas with the S/C and that adds up quick.

speculations are just like promises. they don't pay bills, they can't fry eggs, they won't whipe your butt, they can't help you pick up women...

2 dealers and 3 parts guys later that how most of here got 20-30 hp gain...like i said speculation.. with 2 to 3 psi from the sc doesnt mean its gonna be a 40 hp jump from the super charger itself.

"that's going to be stock" said the 2 dealers and 3 parts guys.

but i expect if the sc ever shows up all gear heads will unite and raise the psi level to 5-8 psi . its all about reliabilty at some point thats why i think trd chose that range but again its speculation

BreakTheStatic made a good point, pemium fuel will need to be used with the S/C. Based on pure speculation I see TRD releasing the S/C at 6psi, and voiding anyones warrantee if they raise the boost.

There is no way they would release a supercharger system with only 2-3psi of boost. Most factory installed S/Cs run between 5-10psi. I can guess that the tCs s/c will probably be around 6psi. That would equate to roughly 25% more power, which is what TRD/Scion has been saying all along. Slight intake and exhaust mods will do more for performance than a 2psi charger lol. Not a chance that the TRD will be pumping that little...

2-3 psi? ya dont think so, im pretty sure TRD wants the SC to sell, and only 2-3 psi, would make like 20hp who would pay 3k 20hp no one could sell that thing.
And also you cant always listen 2 your parts guys or delears, cuz they have no F'n clue whats going on apparently
