SuperTrapp mufflers vs. all of the others
I heard that SuperTrapp mufflers are the best, because they are customizable with diffusion discs to tune to your power band. Has anyone had any success with them?

I know that I am a Newbie, and I did read the Sticky buyers guide to tC exhaust, but a simple search for supertrapp didn't bring up anything.
Thank you for your patience!

I am not an automotive engineer, nor am I a MechE. However, the technology seems sound:

Isn't this what a normal muffler does, except that it is in a fixed configuration? It also would allow you to tune for other mods.
Let me know what you think...

In a motorcycle when you have 2-3 feet before the tip, it could work to your advantage.
I would say yes. I read a primer on exhaust:
http://www.team-integra.net/sections...p?ArticleID=47
This indicated that once you have selected your pipe diameter (based on exhaust pulse characteristics and volume), the muffler then becomes the restrictive value. So would it still then be profitable to be able to "fine tune" the exhaust with the muffler, rather than working with different pipe sizes and a fixed restriction muffler? I could be all wet. I just used to build V8 motors - I wasn't the exhaust expert ;-)
Thanks!

Just for fun, I did a check on the universal muffler, and came up with this:

It looks like the tip IS the muffler!
