tanabe concept g louder than I thought?!?
so I just got done installing the tanabe concept g, out of all the internet videos none of them capture how loud this exhaust is.
I was expecting subtle low notes, but im gettng deep loud growls everytime I tap on the gas.
Does the sound change overtime? will it quiet down or get louder after breaking in? It doesnt sound bad, its just a bit too attention getting for me. Maybe it was because I was expecting a much quieter muffler(something slightly louder than stock). Its really deep but maybe too deep and noticeable, its not something Id really think should come from an auto tc. Made the car sound a lot more serious but, I just feel uncomfortable that it does such a noticeably audioble low growl everytime I tap the gas at a stop sign. People are gonna look at me and think wth is a tc outputting a sound like that.
is there a way to quiet it down more?
its supposed to be below 93 dB, but I wasnt expecting this
dude the videos on the internet sound nothing like what the exhaust sounds like in person. So from now on I know youtube vids do nothing lol.

how long does it take?
so it will get quieter not louder correct?
deeper? didnt think it was possible since the exhaust is freakin really deep as is.
doesnt even sound like a tc anymore. sounds like its got some muscle now (though only soundwise)
one more question, with the hangers it comes with it sits a bit close to the bumper, I remember reading somewhere that I can tie something around the rubber hanger with something to make it lower, do you know what im talking about?

actually its the opposite for me. I barely hear it when my windows are rolled up, but when they're down it sounds loud.
what I noticed that its only when the cars runs around 1-2k its pretty quiet after 3k.
yeah that when exhaust is loudest before 3K, i say give it some time man, you will love it.. if not just get a resonator like what i did to my loud tsudo, it doesnt cost much.. but I love the concept G over my cheaper tsudo
My Concept G took about a week to settle. It's still quite loud in the car, but with all the windows down, I can just hear it over other road noise. It gets really quiet to the point where I can go up and down my street and my parents won't hear me drive up. Don't worry and give it time to break in; it's completely normal what you're experiencing.
wow... i thought that i was going crazy being that i thought the concept G was loud when i put it on. wait till you get header back ... it will be screaming. im running WR header, meagan mid and a concept G and it sounds horrible being that i dont have a resonator on it yet. hope it quiets down after the resonator and after it settles in.

yea its under 93 db its just louder than stock. stock sounds like someone under water with a straw. but yea im running header back with tanabe concept g on a factory midpipe with an added aero25 resonator and its a lil quiter than a catback. i love it though. no rasp and sounds mean as ____. best $410 bucks i ever spent lol.
no header back for me, if the muffler itself is not quiet enough for me, a header back is not the direction I want to go.
I just wanted something a bit meaner than stock.
stock is completely silent, you hear nothing with that.
so I dont get it, some people tell me it quiets down when its broken in and some say you just get used to it? whats the real answer?
