Default TC Exhaust

I'm really not looking to mod my tc too much but something I would like to do is put a new exhaust on. I really do not like a tin can sound and was looking for more of deep tone, as low as a 4 banger can be.
Thanks,
Ryan

ifyou just want a decent sound...go with the trd exhaust. It has the stock look and a nice little growl

if you dont have an aftermarket header no exhaust will have rasp.

it's hard to get a tin can sound out of our toyota engines.. even without a muffler, the tone of our engines are deep (but at that point it's not a very smooth one)

you'll only encounter more issues of the "tin can" sound with other parts... especially a header.

i had dc headers (notorious for rasp) megan downpipe, tsudo back exhaust... and i got the most horrible rasp i have heard outside of honda rasp.

1 no name brand 15 inch res later from a no name muffler shop, and i had a VERY BEAUTIFUL sounding exhaust. that i got complemented daily on. no rasp, deep sound, not too loud.

i miss amy........

MMW header and skunk2 catback, with an off-the-shelf god-knows-who made cat converter, and i have absolutely no rasp. love the super deep growl. it's not the quietest thing in the world, though

megan racing ftw!!!

thats my car, its a sorta bad quality, the video doesnt give the exhaust enough credit. its such a deep tone and its so nice I drove around seriously for three days with the windows down even though it was cold. its not that loud untill you get on it so it would be ok to cruise around in.

Borla ftw..imo the trd sounds more 4bangerish then the borla, even though borla is supposed to make the trd. Also the TRD is visable from behind the car you can see the muffler..the Borla is tucked up nicely and not visable.

thats actually pretty loud, but thats the Megan Drift Spec catback

i have the Megan Racing OE-RS catback and its much quieter, even with a header and a good custom midpipe, no rasp, sounds real low and nice.
