i disagree with this mod going well with only intake and headers

like someone on here, i took it off several days before i installed my hks
and one night a civic pulled next to me at a light

he was banging his music when approaching me
even when my car was idling, the rumble of my exhaust(unbolted) was loud enough to cover his music! haha

he revved at me with that honda high pitch 1.6L VTEC shiet
it sounded like reehhh rehhhh like a lawn mower

all i did in response was tap on the gas a lil bit and the revs were climbing so fast it shoke the ground

getting very excited, i did it again and this second time, i almost hit the rev limiter

he instantly was put to shame and i smoked him gracefully topping to the road's speed limit at that time

LOL greatest kill in my opinion , ahhh those days..

also the time when u turn on the car, the exhaust rumble of the pipe is orgasmic
kind of comes in before the explosion of exhaust gas

you know what i mean? haha

haha nice kill man. so with your car at idle it's already loud? WITH your headers right? what kind of headers do you have? The sound is awesome for just a quick and easy mod.. sounds like a v8.. and i definately agree with the start-up sound..

oh and also, has anyone been caught up by tha police yet? the sound is pretty noticable. As a matter of fact, I saw a police on a bike watching out for speeders behind a sign while I was at a stop light.. By the time it was green, rev'd a little and it got his attention.. he started eyeing at my car for a while to check for anything suspiscious.. thank God he didn't chase after me..

you should mount a fake tip on the bumper so that way it still looks like its running all the way to the rear

axle back exhaust are the ones that replace the muffler and pipe only to the point where the rear axle of your car is.

it allows only minimal gains of less than 10 horse power. (in most cases)

its because colder air is more dense and harder to flow.

This way it is seperated and you get that growl sound and you won't need to take off the whole axleback off. You could just take the bolts apart but the mid-pipe and axleback will rub against each other.
Any pics of this?

Just do exactly that...

Put the springs in between the pipes to make a gap, and put the bolts back in. Ive done this method. Just make sure the bolts are tight.

Do you need a carjack to do this or will hands and tools do? Also, does somebody have a DIY for this cause it sounds kind of confusing for a car newb like myself =/

Jack up your car.
Locate the 2 flanges.
With 14 Socket take bolts and springs out.
Remove Gasket and put in glovebox.
Wedge springs in between pipe. (pictured in red)
Place bolts through and tighten all the way. (bolts are pictured green)
