You do realize you can get the error code read at a place like Autozone or Advanced Auto, right? That will eliminate some of the guess work.

Would definitely recommend investing in a Scangauge II.

CEL could be a range of things, get it READ then come back. And all modern cars (OBDII) come with 2 O2 sensors. Please help US before we can HELP YOU.

Without the code, my first guess would be a gas cap issue.

I concur sir. Especially if the CEL comes and goes. If there was something wrong with the O2, it would likely stay (unless it was a too rich/lean code, but that's unlikely on stock NA).

unless you did something to the car recently, there's no reason the O2 sensor would be a problem.

did you install or modify the car recently?

You never said for sure that it WAS an O2 sensor. Your exact quote was "I'm pretty sure its an O2 sensor". As a forum we can only take what you as the user input to form a conclusion. We we're simply trying to make sure you got the code read before throwing parts at a car.

U said that u have a header on ur car. Do u have a cel eliminator??? Once u remove the cat the secondary 02 will read incorrectly and throw a code. If u dont, try that first for a cheap fix. U can make one urself by using 2 spark plug antifoulers and about 10 minutes of time to drill one of them out.
