Default torque damper and auto.... DO IT!

So, ive doing some "performance" mods to my car lately because it was lacking in that department... in my searches for torque damper info, the question i came across more then any other was, "if i put it on my auto, will i notice anything?"... YES YOU WILL! mine is an auto, and i was doing it for the show aspect of it so i didnt really car if i gained or didnt... but i did.

before the damper i would have a nice lag when ever i stomped on the gas, really sucks when trying to keep up with 13sec civics (not racing, just going to hang out.) i put in the damper and the lag is all but gone. the cabin noise is there, it is a lot louder now, i did not do any sound deadening around the mount... my normal stereo volume will block it out though, so im not too worried about it.

if you have auto and are looking to change up the complete feel of your car it is worth every penny.

right now my performance list is

WeaponR torque damper
fujita CAI
AEM bypass
Megan Racing Header
Magnaflow cat back exhaust

soon to have a megan s pipe also.

and the car is an 07 with 133xx miles on.

i only put the header on 2 days ago, it is like driving a completely new car now.

I may actually do this. I've heard, in the past, that this won't do much for autos. I may do this mod now that someone has confirmed it's effectiveness for autos.

How much did it cost for the damper?

Do autos peel-out? I know it works well with sticks because it eliminates wheel hop. Does your auto peel out? A couple of people i know that drive autos cant seem to spin the wheels at a stand still!

I could spin my stock tires without "launching" the car. I can't do that with my new tires but I can if I torque brake and launch.

2 years with it. adjust it every season
the vibrations in the car are annoying on the cold morning "before i overhaul it/sound mat. between the bracket and new end links. " but last for only 5 minute. when its 75 out it like noting is their. the edt reminds me of the engine mount in my old camry. and that was a good piece of work. i have seen the tc start up and watching the engine just bounce around makes me worry of how i drive it and wander why the mount didn't make it onto our car in the first place . not only that but puts less stress on the after market header. i want to see what it does when the s/c gets put on

i went with weaponR because i read all the reviews that said it wouldnt do anything, i bought it off a guy on here, never used for $100 shipped... worth every penny!

i could not burn my tires, i put on the header, and then i could, now i cant again.

as far as quality (Hawgs, what brand is yours?) it seems built well, the brackets looked nice, install was stupid easy.

ill try to post every few weeks or whenever something different happens.

after a night and about 80 miles of pretty fast/hard driving, i love this thing. between this and the header its like i have a new car.

My auto will roast the tires if I stomp on every time at a stop.Even before I started modding it.Thought they all could.

This is AWESOME to hear. I knew having one would help on an auto but confirmation is great! I have a DME ETD sitting here just waiting to be installed...

For more lag killing power I HIGHLY suggest a set of NST pulleys and SUN Hyper Voltage and Ground kits...

ive got the DC sport strut bar, installed fine.

now i have to say, the cabin noise is not that bad, but i had not slept in 2 days and had to take a friend home at midnight last night. i turned on my car and almost turned it off to take my moms car, its a pretty annoying sound, but i guess you get used to it, or try the sound deadening.

also, on my way back from exposed, i was on the interstate just driving trying to get back to the front of my pack, i was doing 75, floored it, and there was no lag at the higher speed also.

i honestly am AMAZED by thing thing. it is now the product i am telling everyone to buy for their next mod. i really is worth every penny.
