Hey guys just got my first scion last week 06 tc rs love the car just one thing that concerns me. when i am in 5th gear rolling at about 50-55 and barely touch the gas i can hear a slight whin same noise u would expect to hear while down shifting just not as loud. no grinding or anything just a whin. is this normal or is a repair of some sort needed. also has 85000 mille was going to change trans fluid which fluid is best. thanks for any help

 

It could be old fluid.....do you know the history for this trans? Any way to get it? Hopefully it has been serviced at least once since new. Fluid wise, a lot of people on here like Eneos, a lot of people tried Redline and it did not agree with their tC. Speaking from other threads, I have no experience with either since my car is pretty new and have not had to change it yet.
