Default TRD CAI

I am getting the S/C installed on my 3 month old 08 tC next week... The dealer informed me that the TRD CAI will not work with the S/C. Any ideas on what I could sell the CAI for?

There is no CARB sticker for the TRD CAI because it is not CARB legal..... They dont make one for the Tc that is because of the added charcoal filter that is in the stock box has to do with the smog.... There is not a CAI out there for the TC that is CARB legal....

As for making the CAI work with the S/C.... I had a F5 CAI and I just cut off part of the pipe to make it fit..... It still works great and helps with the power..... I have a show car and I was talking to a few people at the shows that have it as well and they did the same thing.... That is about all u can do....

Actually the TRD CAI specifically for 2008 tC and xB are CARB legal now.

I had thought the same thing untill I was looking for mine..... I then met a guy form Fujita and was talking to him and he explained to me about the filter thing in the stock box... The only one I have seen is a K&N but it is a short ram and it uses the stock box still......

Toyota paid a heap of money to get it approved for the tC, it must exist somewhere.

for now... at least it seems... it's still in dream land.

as a matter of fact, there's quite a few 2008 products that are still in the accessories list that haven't even been produced/released yet.
