Default TRD Cold Air Intake Install

so im going to be installing my cold air intake either today or tomorrow but i have a quesiont about step 24 in the instructions i dont have diagonal cutters and im not even exactly sure what they are, do i need to use diagonal cutters to shorten the hose or can i use something else sharp?

technically you dont really need to shorten the hose...but if you must...just use scissors or a utility knife to cut it. i didnt shorten mine...cuz if you return to stock, the hose might not reach if you cut it.

Well.. Drive around with it uncut first. If it is really too long and and pinches in any sort of way, the CAI will throw a CEL and then you know what you need to do
