Thanks guys, that's what I figured. I got my 07 tC last week and had them put the exhaust on yesterday. I couldn't tell any difference in power and I think it sounds like sh*t with the automatic so I am removing it today and puting the stocker back on.

 

i didn't like the trd exhaust i heard either....just too ricey for me, i prefer my megan cat-back....but thats me

 

That's exactly what I am trying to avoid is the Uncle Ben's sound. I just wish I could make it sound like my G35!

 

The TRD is more on the rumble sound then a rice sound imo. I had mine with stock headers, 2.5 inch s pipe and midpipe and it sounded like crap....im not going to lie. But when the car was stock besides the TRD axel back I loved the sound.

 

i have the TRD with an injen intake and it sounds nothing like rice. you need to let is settle in for a week or so. not loud at all unless your always at a high RPM.

but yea change anything else and it does get ____ty real quick and you have to add a big resonator to get it back. and it adds nothing but sound, sweet, sweet sound. hah!

 

I spent all of 10 mins yesterday to swap the stocker back in... ahhh the sound of silence!

I really think that the TRD sounds so crappy because I have the auto and this is my hop around town car that sees very little hwy so I am mainly stop and go. I couldn't stand it after the first 5 mins so I don't think I could get used to it.... and honestly, I laugh at cars that sound like mine did with the TRD because it sounds ridiculous! And to top it off, the TRD is $400 that has no performance gains that makes nothing but noise.... useless IMO . I have had a few other 4 cyl cars with I/E and they sounded really good! I will be taking the TRD back to the dealership tomorrow for a refund.

 

well if you paid that much for it of course. but honestly if you don't like that then no exhaust will cause they only get louder and less deep.
