Question TRD-Magnaflow-3rd Party?

Whats up forum,

I tired looking up Exhaust answers on here but no luck, I'm still working on maneuvering around this site.

Simply I'm looking for a new exhaust. I'd like performance while having a great sound. I have a new header on which makes my car a bit noisy and an cold air intake which give me that nice grumble.

With that said, which exhaust is good, the TRD, Magnaflow, or some high flow?
I herd TRD is supposedly crap but i dont know. I'd like not to have that winey weed wacker type of exhaust because its way annoying. I'm willing to spend the money as well because i hate to get something cheap and break down shortly after.

Any thoughts?

I have the TRD and like the way it sounds. Since you have a header though any exhaust you get is going to sound raspy. You are going to need to weld in a resonator on your midpipe to get rid of the rasp.

Look into a megan exhaust set up. they put out a good sound note.

A header is not just a header, and the brand really does matter.

I'm running a STRUP 4-1 header, stock s-pipe, then a 2.5" mid pipe with a resonator, 2.5" axle back with a magnaflow muffler and tip. Honestly I'm not a fan, mainly because of rasp and the fact that 2.5" is too big for the car, but it works.

i have a 4-1 header. pretty basic too. i saw the megan exhaust but im not sure... i want to keep the header because replacing is a _____. i just might get a new kit with a resonator. Magnaflow is a maybe.. i just want the deep sound and performance.
spicy- i know what u mean about the rasp. its getting a bit irritating lately.

The header is easy to replace once you do it once. (and your donut gasket doesn't decide to be a piece of crap) I'm debating on changing out my Magnaflow muffler for something a bit more restrictive, since Magnaflow is pretty much wide open inside. Also, you won't really get a deep sound because of the lack of cylinders on the engine.

i have the trd axleback, paired up with my injen cai it sounds awesome
if you're looking for something not too loud but with a nice deep clean grumble, i'd suggest the trd...
check out some youtube videos of the different exhausts on tcs

I have a Raceland Cold Air Intake, Header, S-Pipe, and Magnaflow resonator and muffler w/tip 2.5" exhaust and it sounds and performs great! Like yourself I went the cheap route when I first started upgrading things.....got a ebay cold air intake, header, exhaust and I found out the hard way (Performance & Installation) that its just not worth it. For example, the fitment was off on the ebay header so I was having a bad exhaust leak, cold air intake fitment was all off and I had to customize it in order to make it fit. The only thing that fit right was the exhaust but it was so raspy I couldn't stand driving it because it was so annoying. A month after I put those cheap e-bay parts on my car I bought the Raceland I/H/S-Pipe and had a Magnaflow resonator & muffler w/tip welded on to the 2.5" exhaust I had already and now the car performs and sounds great.....no RASP!
