Do i need an intercooler for the TRD supercharger?

 

It would help but i dont think you need one.

 

No one knows for sure what the deal is, but the TRD S/C is rumored to be 200+ HP without an intercooler. There may be possible staged upgrades with intercoolers that would be able to run higher boost, hence more power. Nothing is set in stone as of right now though.

 

No, not unless they come out with a Stage II Kit. It wouldn't hurt to have it but it's not necessary on a stage 1.

 

i just cant wait untill we see this supercharger. I have been talking about it forever.

 

yea i just hope that it wont be too much money, cause ive been hearing the supercharger by TRD will be almost the same as a stage I turbo kit...so why not get a turbo kit instead of a supercharger? the turbo kit adds much more power

 

An intercooler is not absolutely necessary at stock boost levels. It will help though, and should definitely be used if boost levels are increased.

 

You get more out of the turbo but its my warranty that i want to keep.
