Default TSUDO N1 catback Exhaust Muffler;is this exhaust any good?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/TRD-S...QQcmdZViewItem

this exhaust looks good, but is it any good? Its a catback apperrently which is what i am looking for.

also, (i know this will cost more) will i be better off with a HKS HI-Power axel-back mated with a ZPI mid-pie???

advice please.

for some reason, i've been interested in this catback.. the whole "catback" thing gets me tempted. but then again, it's TSUDO. i guess i'm more a brand-name type of guy. but they did lower the price.. it used to be 270 plus another 77 for shipping.

you should settle with HKS, and i'm sure it will definitely mate perfectly perfomance-wise.. but their midpipes have no cats.. which is bad for us CA residents.

yes, no cats = problems for us in CA, but im not worried about it

im willing to trade street legallity for performance, muhehaha

Also, im looking to go all motor. 180-200 WHP will satisfy me very well.
(and yes, i know a cat-back will not put me anywhere near that mark. Im not ignorant)
Anybody know how the tesing for ZPIs Stage II head went??

and besides, I haven't heard anyone complain about the sound of the Tsudo N1 exhausts... they just complain about the brand name.

A buddy of mine with an RSX-S has the Tsudo N1 catback.. and it sounds CLLLLEAAAAAAAN. but that's an RSX.. i don't know how much different it would sound on a tC.

I know the prototype car's owner as well as the guy who developed the exhaust. It looks to be pretty good and sounds very deep.

The guy's car that the prototype was put on used to have this crazy riced out rasp that wasn't even funny. It was so bad that we used to call him Calamari & Rice (Kaminari & that awful exhaust tone he had). Anyway, it sounds & looks pretty good, also for that price, I'd get all over it.

Well, it was a prototype, so I assume there was obviously adjustments.

However, I assume any fitament issues and stuff have been taken care of. I just called the prototype guy and he just told me it's direct-bolton and utilizes the stock hangers.

I also just linked him to the thread...hopefully he can answer more questions.

Oh and Steve, kick me down with some Calamari to go with your rice

Hey guys im the one "dp-_-" is talking about, im the one that did the prototype for Tsudo, the exhaust works great! there are no leaks, it is oem specs, so there are no fitament issues. there is nothing else you have to buy, but you can buy a extended rubber hanger from pep-boys to drop the canister a bit more if u need, say you have a body kit then it comes in handy.

its a really nice deep tone, the reason why i had rasp before was becuase of the headers i had, there was a small leak on my S-pipe but iv changed that out so it sounds good!

If you guys have any questions, just pm me. if u want i can do a local pic up/ drop off for the exhaust instead of going threw e-bay and if ur in my area i can show you how it looks and how it sounds. also the good thing about the Tsudo catback is that u can change out the axle back/ canister, i fu get board of the N1 just get another axle back and blot it on, and it will still be a catback. Thats the good thing about it, and for those sleeper cars just put the TRD on or the stock exhaust and you will still get performance out of the car so its very compatiable.

What do you mean "straighter?"

If you're talking about the extended loops, what he means is that it would help lower the exhaust tip.

For example, he's got a Kaminari kit with S-techs & pretty much scrapes on everything. Therefore, you could imagine how much lower his exhaust tip must hang to "fit" properly. In his case, he needed a new hanger thingermabob so that the tip would "fit" in the proper location of the Kaminari bumper....

I hope that answers your question?
