Default TURBO ENGINE SOUND

i saw something that if u add it to the muffler, it makes ur car sound like it has a turbo engine...is that true or is it a trick? it somehow attaches onto the end of the muffler, and turns the air from the muffler into a small hole n makes a turbo sound. is this true

If you're looking at the crap on eBay... please, please, PLEASE don't buy that crap. It only encourages them.

don't discourage, I bought one of those about a month ago, and man can I feel the difference. I can feel the difference between a love tap adn a straight up sock in the face for being a dumbass and buying that crap. Just kidding, I've heard of those things, but man, please don't buy into that. I say, If you want the sound, invest in the real thing. Though, not in an xb, because it's like putting a turbo on a brick.

Yeah plus those things look hideous in the exhaust tip...I dont know about your scions, but my g/f's makes a turbo sound in 1st and in 2nd gears. its a slight whistle under acceleration... every tC weve test driven made that sound. i guess its just the tC..?

Don't even put that E-bay stuff on. Just put a "turbo" sticker on your TC and you will probably feel an increase of 15 whp.

hahahaha we have had a car come through the shop with it on. It's just a little set of blades that spin with the exhaust. It sounds more like a whistle than anything else.

Just to clear it up.. And I agree, it's a scam and a horrible waste of money...

But it's basically a little valve that takes a scoop of exhaust gases and funnels it through a small hole to increase the pressure, supposedly creating this faint whistling sound which is supposed to replicate a turbo spooling up. It doesn't sound anything like it, looks stupid, and wastes your money that could have been put towards worthy mods.

woah, that sounds like genuine ebay feedback...
anyway rimj, buy whatever you want for your car, but be warned that anything that makes noise not power will get you laughed at. save your money, or buy a nice shift **** or something.
and dont feel bad about all the jokes, it happens to everyone.
