I just bought a scionspeed stage 2 turbo kit. seems like a great deal for the power increase. custom turbos with only 7-8 pound boost at my local turbo shops charge at least 1-2 grand more for only 100hp gain....in the DFW area. I'll see how much hp gains it'll give before changing the stock muffler and after...perhaps quarter mile times soon after.

Sorry to dissapoint you, but in real world 110whp on top of factory 140whp is considered an big turbo kit and "buncha other crazy stuff".

Small turbo would be 180whp, small turbo with upgrades 200-220 whp, everything over that is big... And you need serious upgrades to go with it as well.

7k is nothing to spend on turbo setup (when it is all over and done), since you will also need to change some other, rather important and expensive parts in order to get to 250whp properly.

Why not buy 24k car if you are going to spend extra 7k? Because there are no 24k cars with 250whp? :-)... you will then need another 7k and story just goes on.

Building up your car is not cheap. Wise man once said, you want fast car? pick two out of three: cheap, reliability, speed.

There are turbo kits out already for as low price as humanely possible and some people still say that we need this and we need that. If you are serious...e-mail ScionSpeed with questions and buy the damn thing. They are real cool people to deal with.
