you will have to put more effort into shifting because the actual shifter is shorter so you will have less leverage.

however if you get a weighted shift **** it should help out, but it can only do so much.

it is not the shortest in height, but it is in throw i believe. It is not necessarily harder to shift...but you do have to put a little more effort into shifting due to less leverage like Ali (tC9o9) said and yes the weighted **** will help. It wasn't hard to install...but it wasn't easy. The hardest thing is taking apart the cage without breaking it. I have it, and i love it!! wouldn't trade it for anything.
But to be honest...the Creative compacts short shifter is identical and only about 60 bucks! The only problem with that one is that it sometimes grinds going into second from what some people say here. If the money is not an issue...get the TWM Stage 2...damn good product!

you don't necssarily need a weighted ****.....the stock one has some pretty decent weight to it, you can use that first and see how you like it....i have one of the weighted twm *****, willing to sell that to you for a discount....and the twm most unique part is the short throw....don't need to travel as much in distance per shft, and it feels like you can be much more aggressive....
