well i just wanted to know what header would be best cause im very very soon going to turbo charger my tC and wanted to know if anyone knew which would be best, as of right now im looking at the Dc and Meagan headers also my friend said to go with the Megan cause the DC one is just as narrow as the stock one?? im also getting the HKS HI power exhaust system is that any good for my soon to be turbo charged tC i like how it sounds nice and deep !!

 

Hah; so if you are going to turbo your tC why bother getting headers? Or do you not know you have to have a special turbo header for your turbo to mount on?

 

turbo manifold required, normal header cannot be used.

 

Come on man. How can you be ready to turbocharge your car when you don't even know the very basics? A turbocharger cannot be used with a header. In its place, there goes a turbo manifold, which connects the block to the turbo.

 

hahaha oh i never knew that thats why i asked so it comes with the special turbo headers?? and so the exhuast is pretty much the only thing i can do as of right now?? and its ok for it right??

Try searching the drivetrain and forced induction forums to learn more before asking a specific question. Most people spend months reading before finding something that hasnt been answered on here before.

 

That's a good reason man. I wouldn't have really been too bothered except that turbochargers for the tC haven't been perfected yet, they still have some kinks. There's all kinds of changes that have to be made and considerations involved in turboing our cars, so even with a kit you have to get it tuned and set up right by some knowledgable folks. I'm just worried that if you don't know the very basics of the turbocharging principle, you'll experience problems with all the other details. Search and read up and you'll see some of what I'm talking about.

The basics should at least be known if youre going to customize your car with a turbo kit. Just in case something goes wrong, you can possibly fix it yourself. Ya know?

lol.. we all start somewhere.. With a turbo, get a 2.5" exhaust ... Then start from there up..

Yea dude, ure gonna want a 2.5 exhaust on. If you get the ZPI or Dezod they both make exhausts that work fine for a turbo application. Most exhaust u'll find are just axel backs... ure gonna want more then just that when u go turbo.
