Default unable too pull or add timing on emanage ult. but at 325hp and climbing

i took my scion tc over too church's for a tune, i was told that they couldnt pull or add timing to add more power, no change in timing . i was only able to get 201hp and 185t without adjusting timing ,on a auto tc supercharge with emanage ult , has any one ever had problems with timing , i was told if i get info in how to adjust timing i could get more power....

Keep in mind the Emange can only do so much at partial throttle due to the OEM having control. At WOT the Emange will have full control, check the settings or wiring. I know when I had my Ultimate plugged up the tuner had control over the timing.

Best thing to do is to get it dyno tuned with a wideband in your s-pipe, assuming you don't have the OEM header with the cat in it. That way you will know what you AFR is and I would run premium you can get more timing advance and not have to worry about predetonation as much. Any experienced tuner should be able to safely tune your car to see what’s best for it.

under forced induction, you should NEVER run anything UNDER the fuel needed and I haven't seen any forced induction vehicle use any less than Premium (91-93) if you are running that, you would be asking for trouble, even with a tune!

No one but your tuner can answer that.. and that's after he does it.

It might be safe to run 87 on your sc scion BUT the stock comp is pulling allot of timing......run higher octane and the computer wont hold the timing anymore. This maybe why the tuner didn’t want to advance your timing....

wideband in the s-pipe is ok......as long as its before the secondary o2 sensor and doesnt block the air path to the second o2 sensor.

also.....premium gas is pretty much a must with FI. reason being as it reduces the chance of knock more then regular....you can run regular but its alot easier to achieve detonation, therefore us FI guys just pony up the extra couple cents per gallon and have that added security

as far as them not being able to pull/add timing, make sure the jumpers are correct(double check them) and make sure the settings in the emanage are correct.

you should be running alot more hp than that i just got mine tuned im running emanage blue tho with supercharger and im auto also we pulled timing to it and that made 240 on the dyno so i would say your tuner is not that good

Are you tuning with the ultimate on top of the TRD flash? I know the TRD flash pulls quite a bit of timing so advancing it with the Ultimate could def give you a decent gain - Id go to another tuner as Ive never heard of anyone having issues with timing advance/retard on the ultimate.

What afr are you seeing under boost? If you knock you have a couple options - adding fuel will help to a certain degree, pull timing (the best option), or use higher octane fuel.

LOL this doesn't even make sense. This guy wants to advance timing not retard it....sounds like someone retarded you! Haha jk, but seriously the blue can't add timing. Additional timing is what makes power, pulling timing loses power. Sounds like the dyno you ran on is bogus, 240 on auto supercharged with emanage blue pulling timing on top of the TRD reflash pulling timing = not really 240. But I digress. Hey to the op I think the problem is that the TRD reflash is just fighting the emanage, others have had the same problem. Was he unable to adjust timing at all or he just said it wasn't successful? Unichip is the only piggyback i'm aware of that's been really successfull advancing timing on the TRD reflash.
