Ok. Did the search for 20 minutes and came up with nothing.

Upon deceleration in my 2010 tc i get a very faint almost like a door ajar ding sound. It isnt a sharp timed ding, but a longer, drawn out extremely faint ding or whine.

When the car is in nuetral and I rev and let the rpm's drop, I dont get the noise.

is this just a tc thing? I have never heard anything like this before.

It is a 2010 5 speed.

Yeah thats normal. I questioned the same thing when I bought my 08 new. I don't know the technical facts but its just the transmission winding down or engine braking

That's what I thought, gear noise.
