ok, so ALOT of you responded to my last post and thank you!

I told you I sent it to Toyota yesterday (I had to pay to getit towed there) and they didnt have time to get to it so they said they would call me today... Well i called about 11:30 and they were "looking" at it and would call me back if not by 1:00 then i should them. well by 12:15 they called me....

are you ready?????? "Mrs. Cannon, what you have is a faulty starter. you car should be ready by Thursday."

what do you think?

I don't know the whole story here but it sounds like yet again the dealership is not paying much attention. I had a tacoma I took in to have the exhaust manifolds replaced..... even had the TSB printout with the vin #s affected etc. Clearly the solution to fix the problem I was describing as did many others hence the TSB.

To make a long story short...here's what the dealership said "Uh, yeah. Actually your problem is that the stock air intake box is tapping against the fender we will replace that for you!

Dumb, dumb, dumb. I looked at them as said what part of the TSB didn't you understand? Stick your head in the wheel well by the manifold that is where it's coming from it's CRACKED!

Anyway, keep us posted.

WOW...now just play it off! They put in the new starter, it still doesnt work, and they "claim" it sucked up water and then start cursing them out and put all the blame on them. Tell them you swear it was one of them b/c you never take your car in water and that one of their mechanics must have done it

Now, actually, lets hope it is just your starter so you can on your way

nope didnt hear anything today.. but tomorrowis that day... we shall see if my "new" starter works.. his mustbe one BAD A*S starter...

FINAL VERDICT........................ THEY PUT THE STARTER ON AND THEN CALLED ME AND TOLD ME MY MOTOR WAS LOCKED UP... DAH!!!!!

I LAUGHED... AFTER PITCHING A FIT THEY WENT AHEAD AND LOOKED MY CAR OVER. MY HUSBAND CALLED THEM TOO.. THE MANAGER CALLED ME BACK...

MOTOR IS LOCKED UP DUE TO HYDROLOCKING... LOL OH MY.. I WONDER HOW THAT HAPPENED... I WILL BE CALLING THE INSURANCE COMPANY TOMORROW..
