Lock all these SC topics and have just one post for it ans sticky it this forum! i dont know about everyone else but im getting sick and tired of people posting "rumors" and "my guy at scion said" and "how much does it add" and "how much and where can i buy it". Just have one post about the SC and thats it! i dont care if this post gets lock, actually it should but as along as my point gets across i dont care.

The only facts on the S/C:
-It is covered by the warranty
-It is a centrifugal type S/C

Everything else is rumor.

Rumors are it will probably:
-be released between the end of this month (April) and the start of 2006 (could get push back again)
-be between 180-225hp to the wheels
-cost between $2500 and $4000

I dont usually have much to add to this topic, ive just been reading about what everyone else is saying.
I spoke to the GM at my dealership today about ordering in the cold air intake for my car...is the k&n the one scion offers?
Anyways, moving on...i asked abou the SC and according to him, its set to be released late spring, early summer and theyre NOT taking preorders yet on it because, well. its not done yet and theyre not allowed to do that...
their also isnt going to be a stage 1, 2 or 3...its just going to be a standard SC for around 2000.00
No real #'s on it yet either.

 

i dont think scion offers an aftermarket intake... im pretty sure they canceled production on it.... or something didnt go through right with the deal.

no, just a SC, if even that much haha

 

the "fake air vents" are where most people put aftermarket fog lights. they look like air vents but are solid. I removed my driver side one and clean up the lip with a dremel tool and then covered the lip with a rubber insolater. The intake sits in that cavaity right behind the "air vent", i figured it couldnt hurt.
