v6 tc

v6 tc
So I've been doing a bit of research. It seems that the 3.5 liter V6 out of the Rav4 and Camry will bolt right on to the transmission on a TC. Appearently the problem with that though is the modulator won't work with a V6. I don't claim to know alot about this so I figured I would ask.
Is there a work around for this? Does anyone know if theres enough space in the engine bay for a V6? Are the motor mounts the same? Also could you just use the 6 speed automatic transmission from the Camry?
The reason I thought of this is because the Camry, TC, and Rav4 all use the same 2.4 liter engine; just different transmissions. If anyone has any thoughts or knowledge on this please let me know.

So everything just bolts on or do you need to fabricate mounts for tranny and motor? I know someone did a motor swap on a V6 before, but my question is if you can do it with the 3.5 liter and 6 speed tranny from a Camry.

Seriously! Putting a V6 in a tC imo is an absolute waste of money. You can't think in terms of the size of the engine. Even though we have a 2.4L 4cyl, there is a ton of potential for power. But you turn around and get a V6, now you are heavier, there are no parts for upgrades, and haven't you heard that the V6 engines have not been as reliable as the 4cyl? There is a whole write up in consumer reports. Maybe you should do more research that way you can see why it would be a waste of money. But if you have that kind of cash just lying around, by all means do what ya want. I just don't recommend it.

Just wait for the Fuse to come out, assuming it's going to be the replacement for the tC. From the looks of the design, it should be V6 and RWD. From the looks of Toyota, it will have a 1.2L and be FWD.

The Fuse is not going to replace the tC. It's not sporty enough, and although it looks pretty good, it reminds people of a Chrysler 300.

They descused the possiblilty of the Fuse becoming the next tC at the Detroit Auto show recently. The overwhelming consensus was NO it should not.
That comment was based on an inside converstation between our chapter head of our club, and Corporate Scion.
It also makes no sense to take the Fuse and try to replace the tC with it. The tC is everything that the Fuse is NOT. Sporty, 2dr coupe, good performance. Fuse is the opposite. Flashy, light show, daily cruiser, luxury feel.
