Sure there is. The Gen3.5 and 4 Camry's had an SE edition that was manual with the option of a TRD short throw shifter on the gen4. Plus the gen4's also had the option of a TRD S/C.

i drove a 5 speed v6 camry once. It was much faster then a stck tc, i was very surprised with hw fast it was. I have only seen one in my life tho

oh and i saw something about the camrod wich was a s/c v6 making a ton of power.

now what you should do is put the awd from the highlander in it

they shouldn't do that, toyota should do it, that way we can all have one instead of just those with lots of time and money.

the the gen3.5 and 4 1MZFE SE V6 Camrys were fast... but the early gen3 92-94 3VZ SE V6 Camry's were torque monsters buil to take a beating plus they didn't have the 1MZ sludge problem.

I don't see how the minimal power gain over the 2AZ will help offset the additional weight you're adding to the front of your already unbalanced car.

When they designed the tC I don't think they had cornering abilities in mind with the extra sound deadening and anemities. It would be nice if it could scoot more. Everytime I look in the engine bay I notice that huge gap of space where a larger engine could fit.

too mant people are worried about top end power. there's gonna heaps more torque coming form this car. and it will be turbo'd? this car could be cool.

The 2AZ weighs 280. The 1MZ weighs 401. That's another 120lbs sitting over your front axle. The rear of the car doesn't gain any weight, so you're putting yourself further out of balance, which will cause some handling issues.

Factor in parastic loss from the automatic transmission and your V6, until turbocharged, will put down numbers roughly similar to a 5-speed tC with bolt-ons.

You'll also be limited by the factory axles in terms of power potential. If I remember right, ZPI broke an axle with their car just using the 2AZ.

So...other than being "unique," I don't see a lot of redeeming qualities coming from this swap.

So they aimed the transmission output shaft towards the rear differential??? You've got to be kidding! What an idea.

But I'm definitely all for swapping out the 2jz in favor of a smaller, less powerful engine. The 2jz is widely known to be the worst thing that ever happened to the Supra. Everyone knows that old iron block was hard to get extra power out of and it could barely handle any boost. And with a car as light as a Supra, who needs that larger engine anyway?

god damn i wonder what they did with the 2jz!! something about that desnt seem right. the 2jz can handle 600hp near completely stock, just boost boooost booooost.

oh and to get a 2.4 to 3.0 ive come close. took at 22re toy truck motor bored it 90 over and stroked it 5 mil to get 2.8, the block had to be extremely notched to fit the crank.

Move the battery to the trunk, also some of the reservoirs and other things.
