Default Warranty question

It seems like a lot of you guys are installing your own modifications into your Tc. I want to install a CAI and exhaust but it seems like the best solution is the TRD mods and have them installed to keep the warranty. Are the TRD CAI and exhaust the best for performance or are their other companies that make better ones but will require a void in warranty. I am just curious what you all are doing with non-TRD mods and if you are just not going to rely on the warranty.

the TRD CAI is a rebadged AEM CAI. most ppl on SL prefer the injen CAI (i love mine). the TRD axleback will absolutely give you no gains, but will add some sound, it's better to just get a catback for the same amount of money.

also, please search next time since there's a thread about warranty stuff already.

every mod on my car was installed by myself, and most ppl on SL install their own stuff as well, just a FYI.

In short: No single modification will void the warranty unless it is found to be directly responsible for the problem.

What is the best exhaust to get that will not only add a nice sound (like the TRD exhaust cause it sounds nice) but also some power.

best exhaust IMO for power and sound is either magnaflow or Megan...but if u are willing to wait, i would check out ARK exhaust system...it's coming out soon and looks to be promising

I use the magnaflow cat-back from CreativeCompacts. Bought it almost a year ago, still works. You won't see any gains at all from an axle-back exhaust outside of the audible.

axle back is the same as cat back right? And I thought they do increase performance by reducing back pressure?

axle back = no performance. sound only

cat-back = little performance. sound mainly

An axle back will bolt up to the mid-pipe which will bolt up to the cat. A cat-back bolts up to the (surprise) cat.

ignore the crap about backpressure and how little it means for this car.

some of the catbacks for the tc actually delete the secondary cat, freeing up even more power
