Default Weapon R Engine Damper Kit - Installed w/ Photos

On Friday evening, CreativeCompacts had an install party so to speak... Taking our stock tC with only 400 miles and installing all the bolt-ons we could before Saturday. During the install session, we were able to get the WR Intake, Megan Racing Header, CreativeCompacts.Com Full Exhaust, DC Sports Strut Bar, and the WR Engine Damper. With the exception of the exhaust which took about 30 min, we did all the other mods in a combined time of 1 hour. Scion tC is a very easy bolt on vehicle.

Anyways in regards to the Engine Damper, I am very impressed. The item DOES work with the DC Sports Strut Bar and under hard shifts or occasional downshifting, you can definitely tell a difference with the engine.

The item comes with two mounting brackets which attach to the Engine Mount and the Strut Tower. Very nice addition to the engine bay.

Let me know if you have any more questions... Also we have plenty instock for immediate shipment. This modification will only take you 20 min MAX to install.

We were able to check it on Hotchkis and it was fine. We have been unable to test it on Tanabe, but based off the design, should be golden.

The high quality WEAPON*R Engine Damper mounts in between your vehicle's engine block and firewall to effectively control horsepower and torque. Keep your motor supported as you slam through those gears while adding a nice show piece under the hood. Creates less stress to engine mounts, giving you more power to the wheel!

I was just going to get one because I thought they were like 70 bucks not 210. I would like to have it but thats way to much for me, maybe once the S/C comes or something.

Well, it's high enough to make me think about building my own. Instead of a little damper a urethane bushing would probably be cheaper and easier to come by, then it's just a matter of sutting and bending some metal. Of course, stiffer motor mounts or urethane motor mount inserts would be the better way to get the same result.

Retail is $250

Our price is $209. Price is worth every penny in my opinion but its up to the customer.

All of the Weapon R Engine Damper Kits are a range of $110-$170

I didnt know creative compacts sold this intill now... i would get one but everyones saying that it is expensive for that thing.

actually they range up higher if you go to prostreetonline.com they have them for all models and many are at 225 the cheapest is 140... as for vibrates couldnt tell ya but that doesnt make since b/c the dampers are supposed to keep the engine from moving as much...

Of course the damper makes the car vibrate more. It stiffens the connection between the engine and the frame so more vibration makes it through to the cockpit. Stiffer motor mounts would have a similar effect.

We spoke with the owner of Weapon R on the behalf of the owners who have spoke up about price. Other kits range from $170 on up, however the price of Raw Materials has gone up 300% in the last 3 months alone. You can probably thank rising oil prices for this. The scion tC kit is not the most complicated damper kit they offer, however it does have a lil more raw material usage then say a honda civic.

I have had the damper installed for about 100 miles and haven't experienced too much if any vibration inside the car...

This mod is very quick and straight forward. Install time was very quick and results were instant. Once you decide you want this mod, you will be driving with it in no time thereafter.

We look forward to servicing the scion community and am working hand in hand with manufacturers to get the items made and also TESTED on our company car. At this time I do believe we are the only retailer who has been given a car by scion to do product development and testing as well as the only retailer working hand in hand with the manufacturers to test their products for retail. With this being said, CreativeCompacts and the Scion Community are going to have a long future and look forward to your business.

Thanks
James
