Default Weapon-R Headers?

I've been trying to do my research on headers and cannot seem to find anything on Weapon-R's 4-2-1 headers and S-pipe;
is this due to most going with DC, Megan and Strup? or is there an actual issue with Weapon-R headers?

Thanks in advance,

-Chris

i had one for two years. no issue. they were kinda expensive compared to the other header's on the market, but then again, it was a header and an s-pipe, so i imagine the price was similiar to the cost of any other header + s-pipe. it was also the only 4-2-1 header on the market for a time.

I thought there was s-pipe hitting/rattling against the axle or something being an issue. When looking under the car at idle/not running it may seem all clear, yet under driving the rattles happen. Something to look into and has been posted of on the forum. I'd like to say polyurethane motor mount bushings would help in that department, yet I haven't purchased this header(or any) nor installed my Speed Source motor mount/bushings.

the problem i had is i bottomed out and bent my exhaust, and thus it was rattling against and touching the axle, but it never really bothered anything. i also have polyurethane motor mounts too.

I have weapon-r heaer+s-pipe and energy suspension motor mounts.

I never noticed rattling that is bad enough for me to complain. I do have some rattling from engine sometimes (usually when it's idling) but I think it's most from the motor mounts.

I love my header, I definitely felt an instant torque difference at mid to high rpm after the install.

I have two 18" magnaflow resonators on my midpipe (still have stock second cat) and TRD muffler and there is no rasp at any rpm (it sounds pretty nice as well, not too loud and not too quiet) but I think if I remove my second cat or get a different exhaust there will be some rasp.

ok, so it sounds like i should be good to go, and that i should prob get some new motormounts as well. (my car's not as low since too many potholes around here and i would scrape getting into the parking garage at work). i think im gonna go ahead and get this. and already plan on resonators cuz it i start to sound like ahonda i'll kill myself lol. now just gotta find a shop to install the resonators before i get the headers put on. thanks for the info guys!

oh is there a diy for replacing motormounts?

It should be outlined with the instructions that come with them. I think on Dezod's website they have the PDF file for the Energy Suspension mount bushings. There's GGP(?) that makes the front motor mount, Speed-Source has the complete front motor mount and just the bushing for the rear mount, and Energy Suspension has all four bushings for the engine/transmission. Most likely you're going to be removing/pressing out the OEM bushings to get the new ones in. To get torque specs for the bolts you can find the manual online, google search can help on that.
