Default Weapon R ignition equalizer

Does this actually work? Would it be worth the cost?

Any help would be great.

Anyone have one?

i have one of them. to be honest, i don't know if the thing by itself makes a lot of difference, maybe a little. i installed it when i installed a grounding kit and voltage stabilizer. since they were all installed together i'm not sure if any one thing made that much of a difference. the 3 things together however, definitely did make a difference. throttle response is better, idle is better, the lights are brighter, and music is clearer. i don't think it added much if any power. i guess if u make and install a decent sized grounding kit, it would be worth it combined with the equalizer. supposedly the equalizer itself adds 2-3hp, helps with throttle response and gives u better gas mileage.

shifty-click on search and make sure u click on the "search for all terms" after u type in whatever it is u want to search. don't use the "type search here" thing on the top left. there are 6 listing under the search for it. u'll find more info there.

I sit on here when I'm not a work so I see the same posts you do, I've never seen this posted so I asked.

I figure it will work just like any other grounding kit but I was trying to find out if it was worth the cost. I spend maybe 20-30 bucks on my grounding wires, so 120 bucks for some extra grounding I'm not sure I even need. Thats why I was wondering.

Thanks for the search advice. The other option for searching helped but still didn't do much for me.

trust me, if you're smart (which you don't seem like an idiot), make your own.

hey where did you get that voltage stabilizer from???

ive been thinkin about getting that weapon-r equalizer too.... but the ground kit is more effective.... well i dont know but i bet it is..

im leaning more towards the ground wires.... its cheaper haha

voltage stabilizer: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=7981174234
i got it from vision technology's ebay store:
http://stores.ebay.com/Vision-Techno...QQftidZ1QQtZkm

the stabilizer by itself is like $65. they sell it by itself or with the pivot earth ground system for $95. the only problem is that the grounding wires are universal, so it's kind of a pain in the butt to fit them perfectly. but, for $30, it might be ok to try.

I had the WR Equalizer installed 2 days after buying my car. You can definatly see a difference, the idle rpms drop and it helped get rid of the lag from the DBW. Also the WR Equalizer isn't just a basic grounding kit, it comes with a plate that directly attaches on to your coilpacks while also providing grounding wires so don't get it confused with all the other "grounding kits' out there that are just a bunch of wires

Thanks for the information, sounds good to me. I'll wait and see if the price is going to drop soon. No real hurry to buy parts right now just keeping an eye on things.

ive got the ignition equilizer too... everything that Motorsport TC said is correct, it does drop the idle, it makes throttle response way better, and it makes the power band more linear, it is really smooth.

the ignition equilizer also comes with a distribution block and wires, so you can ground other points in the car as well as the ignition plate that connects to the coilpacks.

hope this helps

Have you seen the Monster Motorworks (Scion Only Division of WR) website? It just opened you can order the WR Ignition Equalizer directly from them now instead of going through a shop.

I had a voltage stabilizer on my old car. It was a Jacobs Accuvolt, and it worked wonders. I would suggest going with Jacobs for ignitions, voltage stabilizers, etc...

i have the ground fusion grounding kit, and it seems to idle better. it is just wires, but it connects from the battery, all around the engine, back to the battery, and fron the battery to the engine. it has about 8 points it groudns to. I also just bought the nology hotwires (sitting on the floor next to me) which also comes with grounds on them, so it looks like i will be OVER doing it on the grounding. but im hoping the nology hotwires helps the ignition of the car.
