Hey i was looking to add some mods to my TC and i was looking at the OEM style CF hood which is around 600 dollars give or take depending on where you look etc, or the Weapon R/MMW Header S pipe combo which is around 500-600 dollars.....They claim to make a good amount of power for our car but i just want to know if it is noticable differnce and a good improvement? or are the other brands like megan, DC, pretty much the same.?


Any input would be greatly appreciated

Get the DME Header with a Megan or Invidia or Creative Compacts Spipe and call it a day.

After having it, in my opinion the MMW is overated.

It seems the combo of the DME header and an s pipe from another company is not to far from the price of the combo from Weaopon R/MMW so are you implying that the DME header is just a better header overall or just saying the MMW is overrated?

What are the gains with the DME?

Your going to get around the same gains with either set up. But the MMW headers are hand made and usually have fitment issues. On top of which its oversized and more annoying to install. You have to take out the fans.

taking out the fans takes a total of 2 mins and is so simple id rather do that then have have to make a cel eliminter for dme header

^It is easy. The only issue i have with MMW is fitment issues. Not everyone has them, but enough people to make it an issue

the only issue i wud say i have with the weapen r headers is that the s pipe sometimes rattles against the frame of the car otherwise its bueno

It comes with instructions. Or if they don't send them with the header let me know and ill send you the pdf.

Its like 4 screws and and u gotta unplug 2 eletricaly wires then just wiggly it out and u don't even gotta take out the radiater hose or anythin

We have fixed all fitment Issues.

Yea there 3rd gens work great i have no problems with mine and the stainless finish looks great.

what are the gains with the mmw without a s/c...will it be worth it, or will there be too much air going through and not enough backpressure

well yeah some issues are resolved but my MMW header already has a blue spot after 1k miles...... some may think the gains are the same, but a 4-2-1 usually has a more smooth or linear hp increase from low-mid rpm, where as in a 4-1 most hp is near top end.

if u have some spare change, pick up a this months Honda Tuning YES I SAID HONDA TUNING, magazine they have a dyno comparison between 4-2-1 and 4-1 headers.

not just a max HP, they show the difference in HP throughout the whole RPM band on a B18
