So say I was to piece together the intake header and exhaust instead of doing it all at once... should I do that? And I should go from engine to exhaust, right?

start with a spipe back exhaust (aka catback) then get an intake. then if you REALLY need to get headers, but it WILL be raspy w/o a resonator or cat

just because im nice i will tell you whats going on

you will get more hp with the header but your exhaust will be louder and raspy !

s pipe to be honest i wouldnt get it unless you get header too...

cat back exhaust system will delete your second cat and thats more hp

axle back is just about the sound and look... not too much hp gain

if you go with header you should get a custom job on the midpipe because u will need some good resonator to get rid of the rasp

intake : cold air intake or short ram intake

CAI is pretty good but dont get it if you have no inner wheel well ( that plastic wall around the driver side wheel)
harder to clean the filter because u will have to take off the wheel and that plastic wall

SRI: gives you less hp, easy to clean no worries about hydro locking your engine ( means if the intake sucks up too much water)

How about better acceleration, better engine response, better fuel economy, and no extra noise or CARB worries? Pick up a lightweight or underdrive crank pulley from NST...

The NST Short Shift Kit and Shifter Cable Bushings are also very good modifications that will make your car a lot more fun to drive. They won't break the bank either...

Good luck and have fun with all your projects!

I like the looks and sounds of the Megan OE-RS exhaust...factory-style setup (no fart can). Look it up on youtube. Also, the Magnaflow setup is the same type of OE setup but much more growl. I'd pick one of those two.

get the NST pulley, a Doc Isotope SS, DME ETD, Injen intake, DME or MMW header, and exhaust (your pic). It will give you maybe 15-20whp total and thats speculation form what most people with dyno numbers have gotten. Of course outside air temp and toher things come into play. But you can also go grab and emanage blue, ultimate or a AEM F/IC and tune it for some more horses but with all that you could have gotten a supercharger or saved up close to a turbo kit. But this is the route i would go but im probbaly going turbo so im doing suspension mods for now.
