You guys are messed up....... He's just trying to get some info. Geez

It's actually a pretty new and neato design in my opinion. Have you heard of "fly-by-wire technology"? It was originally designed for use in aircraft, such as F-16's, and is also how your throttle body is operated. What it does is that it takes an input, from the clutch pedal, and sends that information to a computer which then sends the appropriate signal to an electonic actuator that then mechanically controls the clutch. It's pretty cool and you can actually see it under the hood behind the radiator. If you look next to the exhaust manifold on the right, there is a little black box with some wires running into it. Well, it'e between the manifold and the transmission pop-off valve. I can probably get you a pic, or maybe I should just stop rambling. Anywho, I hope this satisfies your curiosity.
