I'd recommend either a header, a better flowing s-pipe, or a port/polished head.

How much gains do you see out of that? 10-15?
P/P is defnitely expensive. By itself, you probably won't see much gains from it. But with an intake, header, and a bigger TB, you would see more gain, easily as much as 25% more flow in the head. Horsepower wise, I would *guess* maybe 10-20, given the above statements about I/H/TB.

very hard to do.
very hard to do.
The biggest misconception about gaining HP is that significant numbers can be generated cheap and easy.
That's just not the case.
Your best bet is a header, a S-pipe, and/or a TB. you wont see a tremendous amount, maybe 10-15 between them.
A P/P head will *definitely* show HP gains, but you are looking at an additional $500 easily, above what you spent on the i/h/e components.
Will scion be making a header that wont void my warranty? Also what is a s-pipe or a tb and will that void my warranty? If so what should i do? O' and thanks for the info people. Thats why i love sion. People who own them care about cars.
Also i have been getting lots of ____ about installing a aftermarket alarm. The knee air bags are not cool to work around. So they say..

the dealer isn't going to just blanket void your warranty because you have X part on your car. So let's say that you have some problem, you blow the motor, and it needs a rebuild.
The mechanic may or may not recognize the port/polish job on the head, so you might be okay. If the dealer does recognize it, it's 50-50. If the dealer can *prove* (not say or claim, he has to prove it) that port-polish job somehow caused excessive wear, then you wouldn't be covered.
More importantly though, and a far worse situation I think, would be if the delaer rebuilt your engine, but used a new head, rather than rebuilding yours! Underthose circumstances, you would need to get the p/p job all over again.

read about the Magnusen/Moss act under the technical faq's.
the brief summary is:
A dealer must *prove* that either the aftermarket part, or the faluty installation of said part, caused the damage *in question*, for the warranty to be voided under those circumstance.
For example, you buy a turbo, slap it on, and and you blow the head off your tc, because you were using too much boost. warrnty voided on the engine rebuild
you buy a header, and have it installed correctly. after 30 days, the head gasket fails and antifreeze mixes in your oil, and the bearings get coroaded. Warranty intact, unless the dealer can prove the installation somehow caused the head gasket to fail (very unlikely).
You install a s-pipe, the ECU goes beserk. Warranty intact.
Hope this helps
So what do you think a good header is? Or a good s-pipe? Should i have the dealer install them? So is this my best next move? Or port-polish? where do i get it port-polished? How much should i expect to pay?
O and you know alot or i know nothing, but thanks either way

Have you done any suspension upgrades yet? Sways? Springs? Struts? Grippier rubber?
I think the best upgrade you can do it sticky tires, cause it helps with handling and launches, as well as controlling your power.

Megan racing is currently re doing theirs, because they've had problems with the precats that are included in them. DC Sports have a lot of complaints about them
Weapon-R is coming out with a new header in the next couple of months, but rumor has it that it will be expensive.
A good s-pipe. ZPI (vendor on this site) makes one, draxas makes one, and James at creative compacts is making one.
Either the header or the S-pipe are probably your best next move.
P/P heads....you'd have to check out the shops near you. Or you could check on the board here, maybe under sponsored sales, or parts dealers. I *know* there are at least 2-3 places on here that offer that. It's going to be expensive though, like I said, expect to pay upwards of $500 for a p/p job.
Thanks for the compliments...but just remember, we all start someplace. Someday you could be giving someone the same knowledge I shared with you
I doubt it. Most TRD parts aren't even made my Toyota anymore, they're made by rebadged manufacturers: TRD springs = eibach. TRD supercharger = vortec. TRD 19 wheels for tc = Racing Hart
