do you want rice.......or power???

I would go with engine mods first. I'm guessing your not going to be boosting, so Personally i think a header and full exhaust will bring the most power for NA. Then i would go with an Injen CIA. Then get a lightweight underdrive crank pulley.

If your planning on boosting, look under the stickeys for the buyers guide on kits. Thats the best way to find out exactly what your looking for.

You can even get nitrous if your feelin a little crazy. But do major research before planning on either boosting or using nitrous. Lots and lots of research.

For engine and power mods.....remember: DONT GO CHEAP!!!!!! You get what you pay for.

I did window tint the same week I got the car('07 Spec package), next was a cat-back exhaust. Then traded the car in for the '09 RS 5.0 which already had TRD lowering springs, rear sway bar, TRD wheels(w/ tires: Toyo Proxes 4), TRD axle back.

My order if it wasn't already a package deal like the 5.0:
Window tint
Exhaust(skip the header, don't need to hear any rasp)
Adjustable Coilovers
Wheels and Tires
Polyurethane Motor Mount bushings
Rear Sway bar
Front Strut Tower bar
Intake
...list goes on

What are you trying to do, what's the goal?

I don't know what year the OP tC is. And it's been debated on their use with OEM halogen housings, whether it's the 05-07 or the 08-up projectors. I do have HIDs installed but have been on the fence of taking them off. I'm planning on getting a relay though to be extra safe. There are plenty of threads discussing HIDs so search on that and not get this thread off track. Most threads will have a link to here http://www.danielsternlighting.com/t...nversions.html .

The first things? Lowering Springs and Rear Sway Bar will improve the handling the most. TRD makes a great set for the tC.

First, I would buy my Clazzio seat covers, then I would buy my exhaust, then, I would buy my strut bar.

also, it's good to get an idea of what you want to do before you start. i've gone through 3 exhausts, 3 headers, a CAI, and now i'm turbo so that stuff didn't even help anyways.

with an I/H/E you won't notice a difference in power, with a suspension upgrade, you will notice a huge difference in handling.

1) Intake
2) Exhaust
3) Sway bars (at least the rear)
4) Front strut tower brace
5) Short-throw shift kit
6) LSD

Then, if you still think it's worth it and want to spend the money, pick a direction - "show" or "go".

7) Pick some wheels/tires based on your direction. "Go" means lightweight and wider wheels with performance tires of appropriate size. "Show" means ... whatever you want that you can stuff under the fender.
8) Coilovers

9) "Go" means a turbo kit, "show" means a lip/body kit

You can split the difference between show and go but most people end up with a half-assed car in either respect - unless you've got a metric butt-ton of money to spend.

Overall, do your research, read the reviews, pick good parts and learn everything you can about the car and how to work on it. Our entire society is based on automotive transportation - learning more about it is never a bad thing.

Most importantly - HAVE FUN!
