whats up with this header?

Default whats up with this header?

i just installed my megan racing header.. easy install and seems to be a nice fit except is seems like its not all that snug on the stock spipe.. and it was silver and is now almost gold in color from the heat just after one 20 min drive!! and after a while my check engine light came on and now wont turn off.. any help out there?

You must not have cleand your header with alchol before you installed it. The reason you are throwing a CEL is because there is too much air going through the o2 sensor on the spipe you need to extend it. im not sure why your bolts arent snug, cant help you there. But if you search you can find the part # thatll help you extend the o2 sensor.

The header turns a brownish color on all headers like that, its normal. the o2 you will have to move because of the extra air going through like PETEYD said.

Dont mean to sound like an ___, but if you dont know what your doing, let someone else do it for you ( unless you can pay for your mistakes ). You should learn about moding on cars that cost 1,700, not 17,000.
