I'm very interested! Would it be a piggy back type so you can remove it for any warranty work?

Well Ive hear you can use something like an emange plug and play harness and tap into that. so you can remove it. If you dont do that then you would have to desolder 6 wires.

Ah, I remember the threads about ScionDad installing that ESK- if memory serves, he had problems with it didn't he? I'm not sure if he ever got it working right. If they worked the kinks out of it, that would definitely be nice...it's a local company too

Chaos Being - He did have problems but that was because he was trying to use the ESK and Emanage at the same time. I dont know if he ever used it by itself, Im trying to find out more about that

*EDIT*
So to answer the question of does the ESK help if you have a valve body upgrade, I need to know what does ZPI actually do to the valve body to upgrade it ? i.e. drill the plate, jam the acumulators, ect, ect.

So in case anyones wondering TurboEast is taking there time to get back to me......
an interesting development though is that I asked ZPI if they got ESK like settings to work with an emanage and they said they had but hadnt told me when they would be releasing something like that

Yea dude, I have no clue what ZPI does in the valve body to upgrade it. I hope that we can get some answers as to benefits w/ a zpi upgrade. I hope that I can get it

^ Oh i forgot in that email ZPI sent back they said they had gotten the emanage to work with there valve body in a positive way.

That doesn't really help me with weather the TurboEast one will help but it makes it look like it might

im interested as well.

i just am wondering though, it this mod going to effect the life of the trans at all? i mean i know it comes with the on/off switch, but still....

if im running an intake, s-pipe back exhaust, and crank pulley, is there any chance that im going to screw my trans up with the ESK turned on.

also, im not sure if it was mentioned or not but, how does the ESK exactly make the trans shift quicker? and is it just a quicker shift or it it a harder shift also?

Thanks

If i'm not mistaken it kind of takes that 'slack' out, when the auto shifts gears. If you drive say a GM vehicle (not sure about all of them, but my girlfriend owns a G5/Cobalt) they shift nice and crisp. From gear to gear while accelerating in our cars, it's as soft as i've ever felt at full throttle. In my girls G5 it shifts nice and hard, but not brutal.

Our cars are way too smooth on the transitions, i'm pretty sure this kind of helps crisp it up.

Well TurboEast has no idea what sort of time gains would come from this, so I just emailed them asking if I could test it.

I mean if it makes it shift harder but you don't go any faster down the 1/4mile, whats the point ya know ?
