Why do people say when you add headers or exhaust or intake you just lose low end power and gain top end. So your only moving the power band .. nothing more
..... when i just looked at all the dyno testing roundups and especially with the injen and alphawerks header
... power was made across the wholeeeeee entire powerband from 3000 rpms to 6,500
... it looks like alphawerks made 10 hp throughout 3k to 6.5k
Does everyone mean power was lost from 2000 to 3000 rpms .. if so ... wow only a 1000 rpm range vs the 3 to 6.5 increase

I trust about 10% at most of the dynos I have seen from manufacturers. I have seen intake dynos read 15whp on the tC... they MAYBE get you 1 -2 in reality and track times show it. They provide no gain in track performance at all.. which pretty much is the proof in the pudding.
Plenty of people have slapped on all the IHE mods and have seen 10 - 12 WHP in 99% of the applications where they actually took a good baseline and then dynod again under the same conditions. And countless have said they noticed a loss in other parts of the band.
Here is a writeup that will clarify it some for you

and ive seen I/H/E tcs track slips go from 14.7 to 15.2 ..... these are not professional drivers
stock tc with professional driver is 15.5 right ?? ... not much of a gain but enough to justify these modifications i gues

Don't get me wrong. My cars performance did go up a bit..especially after my header/spipe...throttle response improved a bit and it noticeably pulls harder and feels smoother..but yeah..more or less it just looks and sounds cool lol..the improved performance to me is the bonus
if yoou want more than 20 hp at most, you gotta save big bucks, then you'll get big numbers. this tc is my first car, i dont need any more power than i have. but in the future that'll change lol
