75 shot 2600lb civic 2dr
7psi 2300lb civic hatch

funny my 75 shot and heavier car won repeatedly

dynod higher too, crazy

7psi can range anywhere from 50-80hp on a civic, same as the nitrous, plus nitrous has no lag

A turbo civic running 7 psi and no other mods should makea bout 150 hp at the crank.

A turbo tC running 7 psi should make around 235 hp.

Does this make a difference now? I'm not familiar with the gains with using N20 other than that exist.

It's not always the case, but this is how I see it:

Nitrous ~ 1hp per 1 shot
Turbo (under 10psi) ~ 10hp per 1 psi


Again, it's not alway the case but its usually about right.

It's more like

((psi/14.7)+1)(stock hp) = (new hp rating)

That is, the percentage of psi out of 14.7 (atmospheric psi) and multiply that percentage by the original hp rating and then add that number to original hp rating for the final.

How do shots work? What is a shot?

what kinda nos kit would be better or the tc... "wet" or "dry"?

Like I said it was just a generalization. The same thing applies to your formula, it's not 100% accurate because there are other factors to consider.
As far as the shots, 35 shot will gain about 35hp, a 75 shot will gain about 75hp. The amount of hp made is pretty much predetermined depending on the amount of nitrous you put in.

Wet shots are generally safer since you pre-mix the fuel & nitrous rather than letting the ECU compensate when the nitrous goes in.

when you get your tC, run it at the track with your mad nawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwz and compare the times to another tC with the same drivetrain and a turbo.

Maybe some people prefer performance coming from their car than from a bottle.

What's the point of nos anyway? All it's doing is getting more oxygen into the engine, since nitrogen itself isn't even combustible. A turbo or s/c does the same thing, but constantly and at a one-time cost.

I'm running a 75 shot; wet; zex! I run two bottles and I play alot. I fill up about every 11/2 weeks both bottles. at $3 a pound it costs me $60.00. I don't mind considering how much fun I have!!!!!!

I say spend the $500 on the zex system and spray away!

34 fills a year X $60.00 = $2,040.00 + 500 original cost.

Almost pay for a turbo/SC in 14 months.

Your choice though!!!!

I want to do both!!!!!!

I got a quote of almost $1K for NX kit installed (no, I don't want to install it myself, and yes I want to get it tuned and done right). Plus refills, plus the fact that I have no idea where can I fill the bottles up in the 40 mile area. SC made more sense.

There's only so much you can get from a seriously undersquare 2.4 liter four cylinder without FI or N2O. Now we're back to destroking, reducing displacement, and reving to 10k rpm...
