my friend bought a 06 tc and it had a wierd exhaust that it looked something like this when he revs it the "exhaust" in the middle expands. What da hell is up with dat?

 

Holly jetfighter, Batman! Must be some variable back-pressure system. The Corvette has that built-in, but there's a mechanical arm that opens the exhaust. Unless it is OEM designed, I dunno how well it will work. The stock tC muffler has an internal flap that also opens based on how much exhaust flow is going through the muffler.

 

Hmm, I wonder if thats what a sphincter does when you let one rip.
