No, and yes, but if any problems related to your injen cai occurs, then no. But it shouldnt unless you really mess up, then remove it and take it in. lol

it will work with the auto and no it wont void the warranty. lets say your timing chain brakes or something, their is now way your intake would have caused that so you would still have your warranty. however say you hyrdolocked your car(almost impossible) but if you do, then you will have no warranty because the CAI caused it.

yeah if you want to see it on an auto i have a couple pics in my profile of my engine bay. I don't see a diff between the manual and an auto engine bays except for the dipstick.

Ok, I should know this, but I'm gonna ask anyways...

gjpjr84, I see that your Injen intake is very short, putting the filter right next to the engine. (It does look good though might I add). Is this the so-called "short ram" intake (or something like that)??

Nemesis, I see that your Injen intake is going down below the engine, just like the K&N setup. Am I getting this all right?? If there are 2 options, I've got 2 questions:

First, whats the price difference between the 2? And second, is there any performance difference between the 2?? Seems like the one that places the filter down low would be more efficient b/c it would be easier to bring the air in, especially if it was trying to bring in "cold" air, hence the name.

I'm trying to decide between the K&N and Injen and I just want my facts straight, thanks! Like engifneer was saying, if the K&N has mounting problems, then maybe the Injen is the way to go. But does the Injen CAI that goes down below the car mount differently than the K&N so we wont have these problems?? I'm confused. (And sorry, I know that was more than 2 questions )

hey if you are interested, I am going to be putting my Injen CAI for sale on here. It has 2000 miles on it and has minor scrathes. looking to get $175 for it.

As for your questions, it comes in the ability to set it up short ram (intake in engine bay), and col air intake (intake in fender).

To answer both your questions...

gjpjr84's intake is set up as a "short ram" version of the intake.

Nemesis's intake is set up as a "cold air intake" version of the intake.

Thier is no price difference between the 2. When you buy the injen intake it comes with everything to make it the cold air intake, or you can take off part of the pipe and it will become a short ram intake. In other words when you buy an Injen intake it comes with all necessary parts to do both.

The difference between the two? Well as you thought, the Cold Air Version is more effecient and has been proven on the dyno. See here:

Here a pick of my Injen CAI on my auto tC:

i tried putting in the rest of the tube about 3 months after i installed it as SRI but it fought me the whole time so i left alone.

and there is some conjecture as to the efficiency of an intake between SRI and CAI but you can search on that, i could care less about that argument.

I didn't feel a diff between the two on the street, just the short ram was louder inside of the car. The cold air is not as noisy, but plenty loud for me.
