Woodard Racing N/A build! Updated Video 7/26/11 on pg.10!
Decided about a year ago to start messing around with my tC since I purchased another daily driver to get back and forth. After doing some research and seeing tcpete beat one of his buddies that had a turbo'd tc, I decided why not go N/A! I like to take the path less chosen and getting power the hard way and I see that there are others guys like tcpete & jimmyjun that think the same way and are getting 200+whp out of there N/A motors. So here's what I've done so far.....Raceland I/H/S-Pipe, custom 2.5" Magnaflow exhaust, OBX Lightweight Crank, Water Pump, Alternator Pulley's. Since I'm a big Drag Racing kinda guy I picked up an extra set of stock tC rims and some BF Goodrich 225/45/17 drag radials for when I go to the track. I also picked up the BC Stage 2 cams, BC +1mm valves, BC springs & retainers for the head but that will be my winter project.
My crew (K. Brown, J. Gholson) helped me install my Raceland Coilovers, A Pillar & Center Dash Pods and Glowshift gauges (Water Temp, Oil Temp, Trans Temp, A/F ratio, Oil Pressure, Volts). We're gearing up to compete in a nearby event called Import Wars at Great Lakes Dragway in the Super Mod class (13 & slower) to get in the swing of things. As a side note I have Woodard Racing in my signautre and getting a decal made for my tC in honor of my Dad who taught me everything I know and can't compete right now due to some difficult situations he's going through.
One thing to know is that I just got married last year, have a 9 month old daughter and another on the way.....also in the process of purchasing a house so this build is slow steady as you can see why! Just so you know, some hater key'd the crap out of my car a couple years back so that's why I have all the patch work on the body now. Gonna start prep'ing for paint, & finishing up wiring for gauges this weekend! Going to post some pics tonight after the little one goes to sleep!

Thanks Pete! I know that you'll understand the slow and steady concept. I only have time to work on the car on the weekends like you.
Here are some pics of the build so far! This is the car before coilovers were installed. Notice how high the car sits!

A couple pics of the Pod & Gauge installation which was a PITA trying to hide all those wires and keep everything neat! Will finish up the wiring (12v constants & ignitions, oil temp & pressure sender & grounds wires) this weekend!
I'm auto also....nothing wrong with that! When you really get on our auto's they do pretty good in my opinion as far as shifting, not as well as a manual but it gets the job done! There's also things you can do to our auto's to help them shift better (valve body upgrade, torque convertor, shift kit) and they do offer these options for the tC.
my one suggestion thus far is to ditch the OEM wheels and putting those tires some thing lighter. there are toooons of wheel lighter/cheaper/even off brand that you can buy that will benefit you alot more then the stocks... every LB counts!
so true i agree with TCpete.....but i am liking this thread so keep it going because i plan to do the same to mine as soon as i get some money saved up...so far all i have done is raceland intake and megan racing drift spec cat back exhaust...the next thing on my list to buy is nst pulleys
Thanks for the advice Pete. I'll definitely start looking into that!

Here's a couple more pics on how the car looked after installing the Raceland Coilovers. As you can see the springs in the back settled more than the front so that will be adjusted this weekend, along with an alignment.
The fact that you said you were auto just raised my inspiration to keep continue my performance mods haha good luck to you man! And keep us updated on your mods im pretty damn excited for you
