Default Wrapped my CC S-pipe (Pictures)

Hey everyone,

So I decided to used exhaust wrap for my Creative Compacts S-pipe instead of the AW Header and just get that ceramic coated. Heres some pictures of it. First time wrapping and first try so I have no clue if I did it correctly.

Oh yeah, I will be spraying it with DEI silicone stuff, protection from moisture and grime. Also the wrap is DEI 2000 degree exhaust wrap.

Looks like you did a nice job...but why do it? Heat isnt enven an issue down there.

Yes it is an issue, especially the portion of the pipe that comes in close contact with the oil pan. The bad thing is the wrap will discolor the S pipe badly over time with the moisture buildup, Possibly cracking it as well. The wrap might help out a bit with the scavenging effect. Might be interesting to dyno it, and it will keep the oil pan cooler.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing because of the oil pan. I don't mind if it discolors it because its not like anybody is going to see it down there. I am a bit worried about it cracking but the heat is a lot lower because it goes through the header first. I am going to spray it down to prevent moisture from getting trapped. My original plans were to use the exhaust wrap for my Alphawerks header but so many people said it was a bad idea for many reasons so I just decided to save up some money to ceramic coat it instead. I already bought the exhaust wrap so might as well use it on the S-pipe.

Oh btw guys the stock s-pipe WOW it is a piece of poo poo. Most of you probably already knew this but man after I took that sucker out holy ____ that thing is so crappy. It's small and then big all over the place and crushed in a lot of spots.

No I'm not hitting bumps haha. I just meant in some areas of the stock s-pipe it is oval shaped (seemed crushed) not actually. Sorry if this was confusing.

I just bought the CC s-pipe as well. How is the fit? I will be installing mine this weekend hopefully. Does anyone have any idea about a head shield around the oil pan area without using Heat wrap?
