Default Yet Another CEL Question

Aight if I run a megan racing s pipe, megan midpipe, and then my TRD axleback should I get a CEL. I say should b/c there are exceptions to every rule. I know the midpipe and axleback have little to nothing to do w/ the CEL but just making known the set up I intend. So my main question is will a Megan S pipe when installed on a Manual 07 tC result in a CEL. I am not running a header (yet) and trying to maintain no CEL. Thanks

if u want no CEL i would put a anti fouler just as a saftery measrue and wont hurt. plus you will have it done already if you want too put on headers.

And as far I understand there is an O2 sensor on the S pipe. If one were to hook this back up, as far I know I wont get a CEL. Will I need to modify to keep from getting CEL etc. Thanks

yea you put the anti fouler on the spipe then attach the o2 too the ant fouler. that should keep you from getting a CEL. i mean it doesnt always work. you can always try it without the anti fouler nd if you do get a CEL then put one on up too you

you won't get a CEL unless you damage your secondary o2 sensor while swapping your s-pipe.

you get a CEL when you swap out the stock header for an aftermarket. the stock header is where the primary catalytic convertor is, and the secondary o2 sensors job is to detect whether or not the primary cat is working.

so replacing the s-pipe, mid-pipe and axelback portion of your exhaust will not cause a CEL, unless you damage the o2 sensor while swaping your s-pipe.
