Ok so i'm getting my new tC on thurs and i was thinking about getting an 06 injen intake and haveing my neighbor who is a professional welder redo MAF mounting plate to my 07 sensor or do you think i should just wait for the 07 intake to come out? Also after researching some people say 05-06 headers will work others say they don't whats the truth. Direct bolt on or some modifications?

 

I'd wait until parts for the '07 are available in a few weeks, you're taking an unnecessary risk hacking up an '06 intake. JMO

always better to be safe than sorry. you really dont want to mess up a brand new car.

 

if he can weld for you for a good price i say go for it. find a injen cai cheap on e-bay and make it work like i did.

 

if you can find a matching MAF plate, I'd suggest it, but don't hack away without... the MAF is not the most forgiving item on the car and is a pain to replace and a problem if you change the setup too much.

 

Wow i didn't know the new parts were comin out that soon thanks guys but you didn't answer my second question I know i'm new to this sight and everything I did my searching and I saw one guy say he used nd 05-06 header on his 07 and there was no difference but then theres other members sayin no way! So which is it?

If you can find a maf plate and he can weld just buy a couple of 2.5" exhuast pipes build your own intake and have it coated for far cheaper than an Injen or any other intake.
