Zpi S-pipe question
i recently bought a used zpi s-pipe from a member and when the tech was installing it he said that the bolts i had wouldnt work..i have a megan racing header and i was wondering if anybody else had this problem and what size bolts i needed
yes that is how it is, used to have a zpi s-pipe but changed to a megan s-pipe after.
you will need a flange for the part where to connects to the midpipe so it won't leak and for the bolts to the header you will have to buy new bolts which will of course be a different thread and just bolt them on. if you ever plan on switching back to a stock or other brand s-pipe then just rethread the hold with a 1/8 and it'll be good as new.

because if you look at the bolt, there is the thread and after that the bolt gets bigger and that is where it stops because that is how they made it for stock parts, you need to buy a bolt that just has a thread all the way to the top. hopefully you understand what i mean, if not then i'll try my best to take a pic of the bolts to better explain it to you.
I had a Megan header and ZPI spipe and simply used some new nuts and bolts to bolt it together. It does not get any simpler than doing what you are trying to do. Get a jack, some stands, adjustable wrench and a $25.00 socket set. Hope this helps.
