What is lacking is a vibrational dampener. I don't know for myself but some say that the OEM pulley is a solid block of steel that comes like that without a dampener. Others say that much mass acts as the dampener.
Many Supra owners have had engine failures due to uncontrolled vibrations from the crank. The tC has thus far no known issues dealing with a lightened crank pulley.

If it was a good one from the start then you should be fine the design is good.

Well the 2JZ and the 2AZ are fundamentally different in design and characteristic so it's impossible to tell.
No doubt, the effect of the lack of vibrational damping was exaggerated by the immense amount of power those blocks were making.
To be honest, I wouldn't argue against these pulleys. At the modest settings the tC runs as (as opposed to 1000 hp @ 7000 rpm) I don't think these pulleys would cause too much trouble.
I wouldn't put one of these on my own car until a proper pulley with a damper is released but that's just me. By all means, I encourage you all to purchase these from ZPI. Although I wouldn't put a solid light pulley on my car, I would trust ZPI for performance (although this trust was slightly shaken recently - I'll say I trust anything from ZPI that has been tested by others :D )

I have the AP pulley and when I got it I could tell a huge difference. The engine feels a lot stronger from take off. If this pulley is lighter it should help a bit more but at some point the weight stops mattering.
