I've got mine ordered and I'll be doing a review on it after I get it and put it on. I've got AW headers, TRD Axle-back, and ZPI s-pipe as well. I'm having a 30" resonator put in it as well so I'll try as best as I can to get some sound clips.

First you loose the pivot point up front at the s-pipe, now you loose your pivot point at your exhaust. Must be nice not minding exhaust leaks. Keep a co2 detector in your car!

^^^ Skoki, home of my fav hot dog stand (RIP Mage's) in Chi-Town.

WHats funny is I emailed ZPI about this very setup YESTERDAY. I sware, you're reading my mind. Looks like i got me something to spend my return on. Oh, and a sound clip of this setup on a stock tc would really seal the deal *hint hint*

Good cheddar chardog - but Superdawg, ah nothing better than having a dog served to you in your car by a female ex-con with FU tatooed across her nuckles.

Hoefully the 30" resonator will help out with the sound. It can't sound much worse than it does now without the midpipe. I'll update on how it sounds when I get it and get it put on.

thought the resonators were primarily to solve problems associated with headers?

Resonators deaden unwanted sounds in an exhaust pipe. They don't necessarily make it extremely quiet but they take out sounds such as tinging or an airy sound of your exhaust. Basically taking away the fart-can sound and making it more of a throaty engine sound. They also make the exhaust quieter when it's supposed to be quiet. So whenever you go through a parking lot with headers and exhaust you won't sound like you just came from the APC factory. You'll get your sound at WOT the way it's supposed to be.

Cats are very good at muting the sound itself which is why when you put headers on the tc and take out that first cat it gets louder and raspier. However, because of their design they are also restrictive. Most of the power you will get out of a tC header is not from the header itself but rather from removing the cat in the header. This is why I'm not welding one in to my new midpipe because I don't have to worry about emissions and I will have no problems with not running one.

so for those of us not funning cat-less, rasp won't be an issue with this setup, correct?

A big resonator should get rid of most of the rasp even without cats. But your gonna stink of gas everywhere you go. Trust me, I had two cat-less cars before and I smelled like I worked at a gas station.

Even with a cat I would still suggest getting a resonator because resonators are very good for eliminating rasp but they will also not hinder exhaust flow. I believe the instigator had a post about the 30" resonator on a stock midpipe with A/W headers and TRD Muffler with sound clips. You should check out that post to give you an idea of how the rasp will go away with a resonator. If you don't have headers already though try to find a sound clip of a similar setup without a resonator to see what it sounds like before.
